Physiology is a basic medical science taught to the health care students, which explains about the functioning of various systems in a living organism. It focuses on how organisms, organ systems, individual organs, cells, and biomolecules carry out the chemical and physical functions in a living system.

The teaching methods will be learner centered, with specific learning objectives for each topic delivered to the students based on the Competency Based Medical Education (CBME) provided by the National Medical Council (NMC). Our faculty members with wide experience and knowledge in different fields of Physiology, will be conducting both vertical and horizontal integration methods of lecture and demonstration classes, so that students can have a deeper understanding of applied physiology. Periodic hospital visits will be conducted for students. Students will have early clinical exposure in the form of Problem Oriented Learning (POL) integrating with respective clinical departments. Assessments will be done periodically by conducting series of Formative and Internal exams for the students.
