In-Patient Services: General ward has around 330 beds. The ward is sufficiently staffed and prepared to give in-patient consideration to individual patients frequently.

The Department of General Medicine at SLMCH provides undergraduate medical degree courses (MBBS). The students will be given the practice to handle the equipment appropriately. The department library has textbooks, reference books, and important journals for the use of the faculty and students.
